More Bahama Fun

Today we had fun downtown. Otto fell asleep right before we were supposed to go so Joan stayed with him while the rest of us, not including Jenn who went scuba diving, went off to town. We took the bus and walked to Fort Fincastle. It was quite a walk but Ian did so well walking the whole way uphill without complaining. The fort was small but we enjoyed going up to the top and looking at the cannons. Just outside the fort there were a bunch of little booths where locals were selling their goods to tourists. One man had coconuts in the back of his truck and made us a drink out of one. This breed of coconut was called a rambonut-- or I think that's what he said. For five dollars he cut the top off and filled it with milk and we all shared it. After a sip, he poured it over ice (which tasted better) then chopped up the meat from the inside. We all tasted the coconut meat, even Ian. It didn't taste like coconut but had more of a nut flavor.

We made the long trek downtown, easier as it was downhill now. We explored the Harley Davidson shop then had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. Arley and I wanted the explore the Straw Market but didn't want to make the men-folk hang around so we sent them on their way back to the resort saying we'd catch up shortly.

Everyone was at the pool when Arley and I got back and we happily joined them. After a short time at the pool, Arley, Joan and I made a trip to the store. Now we are hangout out for the night watching Horton Hears a Who.

Petting the Dolphins

Today we pet the dolphins! This morning we took a shuttle to the north-center part of the island to catch a boat to Blue Lagoon Island. We crossed over an amazing bridge that was a good size length but the real beauty was the height. Built to allow cruise ships to go under, it's the most unique bridge I've seen mostly because of the simplicity.

The boat took us to the other island where we were immediately taken to the dolphin encounter. After a quick review and orientation, we were in the water with the dolphins. What amazing tricks they can do! After a quick show, we all got family pictures then had a chance to pet and "kiss" the dolphins. They are so cute! And the water was so cold.

Afterward we ate lunch. The bees were quite a nuisance while eating lunch so I practiced my aim in trying to squish them. The beach on that island was more beautiful than ours behind the resort. There were umbrellas on the beach with brightly colored lawn chairs, picnic tables and hammocks galore! Arley, Dave and I had fruity drinks, Ian and Otto played in the water (of course) and Jenn worked on her sunburn. Thankfully, I do not appear to have much of a burn. (SPF 50 works!)

We decided we had about enough for the day and took the 2pm boat back and were able to get a shuttle back to the house. Pretty much we just eat, sleep, and watch movies which is enough for me after such a day!

Did you know that Mahimahi is dolphin?? Well, it's not Flipper but it's a type of dolphin-fish.

Merry Christmas from the Bahamas!

Yes, I am in the island of sunshine-- where it's been cloudy with scattered showers. But it's still nice to be here!

My plane was delayed only and hour Monday night, leaving just after 11pm rather the original delay of 1am. (original flight time was 10pm) I didn't sleep a wink on the plane and was incredibly tired and dehydrated so my lower legs were really swollen by the time I got to the Villa. I arrived at 2pm Tuesday at the Villa and was lucky they let me in even though it was Jenn who made the reservation so technically I wasn't supposed to get in. But yay, I did--then went straight to the Tiki bar for some local brew.

The Lange's arrived Tuesday night. Wednesday we played in the pool and on the beach then headed downtown. It's been very windy here and it even rained pretty good yesterday but still we went to the Pirate Museum. They had a Pirate there who was so funny! Ian was trying to out "Arrr" him. Everyone was so tired but we had fun, tired because Ian and Otto are adequate alarm clocks, waking us up just before 6am. Don't forget that myself and half the Lange's are from the west coast so 6am is more like 3am. Jenn and I are sleeping on cots in the living rooms so we get the full glory of morning noise. However, today we took naps in the rooms upstairs while Ian and Otto, aka the tornadoes, watched a movie downstairs.

Arley and I became kids again! We made a couple elaborate sand castles yesterday and today. We all take turns holding a little hand while they romped around in the ocean. And of course, there is a swimming pool which Ian and I jumped into many times. While downtown yesterday, Arley and I got our hair braided in corn rows.

Today, Christmas was a small but joyous affair. The grandparent-Lange's gave us stockings with little gifts and we each had a "secret Santa" so we didn't have to feel obligated to get everyone a gift. The island pretty much closes down for Christmas and Boxing Day which is tomorrow. They have a Junkanoo parade/festival downtown in celebration for the-day-after-Christmas. Hence why we swam, built sand castles, and napped-- everything was closed! We do have reservations for swimming with the dolphins tomorrow which we are looking forward to.

Between me, Jenn, and the grandparents we are like paparazzi to Ian and Otto. But they are cute so how can we not?? The internet is too slow here so the posting of pictures will have to wait.

Charlie Brown gone WRONG!!

Oh my gosh, I was laughing so hard while watching this!

Other states are laughing at us

It's cold. Alaska and Michigan are laughing at us but they don't understand-- we can handle rain, not snow & ice! This evening the sign at U-Village read 16 degrees. The downtown sign by I-5 read 23 degrees. A Bellevue sign by I-90 read 19 degrees. My home thermometer read 22 degrees. COLD! I miss 97 degree Texas.

But not to fret for I am leaving Monday night for 7 days in the Bahamas!!!

UPDATE: Today (Saturday) the roads are mostly clear in Renton and Issaquah yet people still insist on driving 10 below the speed limit. Also, the Safeway stores in both Renton and Issaquah were PACKED! People were stocking up big time, lines out to Florida. The Safeway gas station was packed too. I Think I'll stay home.

Snow fun

Sometimes growing up is over-rated-- like when it comes to snow! In the real world, yes adults need to grow up but there is something about snow that gives us the ability to throw off the shackles of adulthood and play as if we were kids again. But I wonder if the PC police will twist this saying that we are a bunch of racists because we like the white snow. Hmm.

Let is snow...

eXtreme sledding with a plastic sled

Can't even see the road by my house

I went sledding with the kiddos at the park

This is why I don't believe in man-made Global Warming

It's snowing in Seattle. Yesterday they predicted an insane amount of snow in Seattle and on the Eastside. Schools closed in preparation. People stayed home. The news said to prepare for the worst snowstorm.

Well guess what-- it's didn't snow in Seattle and the Eastside. In fact, it was sunny for a bit in Seattle and just rained on the Eastside. Oh no, the news told us, the snow is coming is this afternoon. "This afternoon" became "this evening." No snow.

This morning it did snow and we were ill-prepared. Snow plows can't keep up. The roads are slick. Some roads are closed and some freeways are parking lots.

We can't even accurately predict the weather 12 hours from now so how can we predict it 50 years from now?

Palin's church set ablaze

The kind of dog that Obama is getting his kids made front page news. The media is deathly silent about Sarah Palin's church getting torched. Media bias? No way!

Mmm hmm....

ATF: Accelerant poured around Palin's Church

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - An accelerant was poured around the exterior of Gov. Sarah Palin's church before fire heavily damaged the building, federal investigators said Monday. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said the accelerant was poured at several locations around the church, including entrances.

The blaze was set Friday night at the main entrance of the Wasilla Bible Church while a small group, including two children, were inside. No one was injured. Fire authorities were called to the scene at 9:40 p.m., unusually early for many arson fires, Starcevic said.

"It's kind of odd to do in the evening hours," he said. "I can tell you that most of the arson fires I've worked on are late nighttime, usually when no one is there."

Attempted murder? I hope the culprit is charged for every person's life he or she put in danger. I'm so mad that this didn't make bigger headlines. Obama's damn BlackBerry made front page news in the Seattle Times. What the heck is wrong with our country?

No Christians allowed?

Just a quick rant here; where are all the religious young adults in King County? I saw no meetup.com group that serves age under 40, there's no one my age at my church nor are there people my age at the other church I visited. Seriously, is there some kind of ban? Are young adults ashamed of the Lord? What's up with this generation?

"Obama Jones" (I knew this would happen)

This could be bad.

More parents name infants after Obama

BUCHAREST, Romania — By his own admission, Barack Obama was "a skinny kid with a funny name," but that isn't stopping proud parents from Romania to Indonesia from naming their newborns after the U.S. president-elect.

"When I saw Obama on TV, my heart swelled with joy. I thought he was one of us Gypsies because of his skin color," said Maria Savu, whose infant grandson — Obama Sorin Ilie Scoica — was born in the central Romania village of Rusciori.

Obama's victory also moved Sugiarto, a 36-year-old security guard in Jakarta, Indonesia, and his wife, Sularsih, to name their new son after him.

Indonesia, a Muslim nation, is unabashedly Obama-crazy — in part because Obama spent four years there as a child.

"He's great, isn't it?" said Sularsih, 34, rubbing the cheek of their sleeping 1-month-old, Husein Obama. "I think it's a beautiful name for him. And who knows? Maybe one day he'll be president of Indonesia."

Americans also have been naming children for Obama. Patrick and Sasha Hall Fisher of Hollywood, Fla., are credited as being the first: Sanjae Obama Fisher was born a few hours before news outlets declared Obama to be the new president-elect.

Fine. If you want to give your kid a stupid name that's just fine. I've seen names like Tripp, Pia, Cable, Satchel, or Sobriety and that is fine. But the thing that bothers me is that they name kids after him as if he's accomplished something, as if he is some kind of hero. Shoot, if he could pull a decent presidency then I'll understand, but until then, the man has done nothing to deserve such an honor as being named after.

Continue.

But Obama's victory has had a special resonance in corners of the world where the poor and underprivileged see him as an example of the change they crave.

In Romania, Banel Nicolita, a member of Romania's national soccer team, is a Gypsy who comes from a family of eight who once lived in a house made of mud. His accomplishments, against all odds, have earned him the nickname "the Obama of Romanian football."

Hold it. Obama has never been underprivileged. Sure maybe he grew up without the privilege of having a father in his life but he was never as poor as these gypsy's who live on $66 a month for several children. Obama went to boarding school. He traveled to more states and countries in his youth than most kids these days. He went to Harvard for crying out loud! Don't tell me he accomplished something "against all odds." What a slap in the face to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Even Oprah has a better story of inspiration and is more deserving of such an honor as having children named after her. Her story is more along the lines of the Gypsy poverty, not privileged like Obama. What a crock. I hope Obama fails. I hope he is directly tied to the Chicago thugs and Illinois Governor scandal is is given the boot.

Right. In my dreams.

No more politics please

I'm so sick of the news. I'm sick of politics-- no actually I'm sick of corrupt politics and Chicago thug politics. In my humble opinion we the people need to clean house, the House and Senate to be precise. How do we go about revolting against our outrageous government? I just read an article on msn.com about how California is finding new ways to tax the crap out of people based on the phantom global warming. Green and Global Warming is a business based on inciting fear in people, not fact. Isn't that terrorism? Now BO is going to push that agenda when he's in his new position as dictator. California is urging him to do so. I think a lot of people paid into BO's campaign and now he must pay them back. He's going to sell our liberty. Liberty lost is rarely recovered.

Mark Levin said this today: Conservatism is the antidote to tyranny.

Here's hoping.

Beware the Black Widow

My grandma sent this to me-- I have cool grandparents!

The Black Widow....

This spider, one of only a few poisonous spiders in the
USA, can be found all over the states of Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
The spider releases a neurotoxin into the victim that, if not treated, can cause death!

The Black widow hooks-up with the male then sucks the very life out of him after mating!

She's very easy to spot...

The female has a very wide backside, is Black, and has a red hour glass shaped marking on her belly...

You can find this spider in:

Entitlement in Chicago-- does this surprise you?

More evidence of the Entitlement Mindset is more apparent during these economic hard times. It took me a long time to grow up and realize that I am indeed not worthy of everything I want so I guess I must wait for them to have their revelation. In the mean time, I shall rant.

Found via msn.com these people just don't get it. The company is going under. There is no more money, no more credit. The bank that backs the company just cannot afford to give them a loan for severance and vacation pay that these workers feel entitled to. I get it; it sucks to lose your job. But you must think beyond your own selfishness and realize there is nothing to do but find another job.

Laid-off workers occupy Chicago Factory

CHICAGO - Workers who got three days' notice that their factory was shutting its doors have occupied the building and say they won't go home without assurances they'll get severance and vacation pay.

About 250 union workers occupied the Republic Windows and Doors plant in shifts Saturday while union leaders outside criticized a Wall Street bailout they say is leaving laborers behind.

Leah Fried, an organizer with the United Electrical Workers, said the Chicago-based vinyl window manufacturer failed to give 60 days' notice required by law before shutting down.

My humble opinion is that this company probably didn't even know 60 days ahead of time that they were shutting down. Do you realize that it was October 12, 2008 when the stock market plummeted. It wasn't until election time November 4th when the banks begged for money. From there everything has crumbled all too swiftly. It's barely 60 days from Oct. 12th so what do they expect? Banks that did receive bailout money don't want to piss it away to ungrateful workers and I don't blame them. Read on.

Fried said the company can't pay its 300 employees because its creditor, Charlotte, N.C.-based Bank of America, won't let them. Crain's Chicago Business reported that Republic Windows' monthly sales had fallen to $2.9 million from $4 million during the past month.

(...)

"We're going to stay here until we win justice," said Blanca Funes, 55, of Chicago, after occupying the building for several hours. Speaking in Spanish, Funes said she fears losing her home without the wages she feels she's owed. A 13-year employee of Republic, she estimated her family can make do for three months without her paycheck. Most of the factory's workers are Hispanic.

Everybody feels owed. This just proves the words of Michael Savage, "Liberalism is for children and perverts." Children are egocentric. It's all about me. Me, me, me. (That's mine, and this is mine...) I challenge you to be aware of your own egocentric liberalism. How often do you feel entitled? Do you hate your job or are you grateful to have one? Are you really worthy of a raise? Do you need that new TV even if it means going into debt and relying on gov'ment to bail you out? Small or large, it's there. I work on it daily as I am still in recovery stage of Entitlement Mindset Syndrome.

I choose not to be a victim.

Bad parents, bad show

This afternoon, the show Trading Spouses caught my attention and the episode disturbed me. The show is where mothers switch families for a week and create just enough drama to hold the viewers attention for an hour. This episode was where Doreen went to live with the Nelson family in Oregon where the dad is a Keith Richards rocker dude with a sweet ballet dancing 17 year old daughter. Terry went to Doreen's home in Boston, the Andrews family, where the dad demands she do housework and the grown children mooch and whine. The catch is that the moms assign each others family the prize of $50,000 and tell them how to spend it.

Doreen was a closed-minded, judgmental bitch, no two ways about it. The Keith Richards wanna be was a little weird and yes it's weird to hear a 50 year old man say teen catch phrases of the 70s and 80s but it doesn't give you the right to judge. I'd have gone with the flow and enjoyed it! The worst part was how she criticized the parents for home-schooling their daughter. What a fool. The daughter was so sweet tempered, mellow and definitely a hard worker. She did her school lesson on her own then went to ballet class. Doreen went ballistic saying that the poor girl is too sheltered, how boring it must be to stay at home all day, how horrible it is she is not in the public school system.

But let me tell you about Terry's experience with Doreen's own daughters. The daughters were older than 18 but I didn't catch the exact age. What spoiled rotten kids. They work evenings, go out and party, come home by 4am and sleep till 4pm, then do it all over again. Not a big deal if you are going to school or something, you deserve to be left alone to sleep or have some fun. But these brats were rude and unambitious, refusing to help do their own laundry. Doreen had no right to criticize Terry's daughter.

The worst of it was when they got the letter saying how the family's money will be spent. Terry decided for Doreen's family and visa versa. Doreen was nice about it, saying some will go to retirement, some to the dad's rock band and some to the daughter's ballet. Terry gave the parents money for remodeling the house as well as some spending and savings money. She also gave each of Doreen's daughters some money for debt, savings and college. Terry's family was excited for how the money was spent but Doreen's daughters were up in arms saying how stupid it is that their money has to go toward college. It's so stupid and such a waste because the government will pay for their college. What a waste for something that is already going to be paid for. Why can't they just have the money to piss away at their desire?

Hold up. They are ungrateful that the burden is lifted from the government. They are ungrateful that money is going into savings and not into their hands. Wah wah wah.

I say kudos to Terry for home-schooling, she needs more of a prize. We need less children like Doreen's. Get out of the public school system if you can.

Palm Pistol

Forget the pocket pistol and grab the new palm pistol!

The Palm Pistol is an ergonomically innovative single shot double action only defensive firearm chambered in 9mm that may be fired using either hand without regard to orientation of the stock. Suited for home defense, concealed carry or as a backup gun. It is also ideal for seniors, disabled or others who may have limited strength or manual dexterity. Using the thumb instead of the index finger for firing, it significantly reduces muzzle drift, one of the principal causes of inaccurate targeting. Point and shoot couldn't be easier.

It's a good idea in theory but I just don't know...

And furthermore...

I'm getting quite annoyed yet deeply saddened by people giving up on God. I've added some old co-workers to my myspace account over the years and over those years they've exposed themselves through bulletins. One hate-filled liberal has mentioned many times via "surveys" that she hates God because He's "done nothing" for her. Today, I noticed yet another hate-filled liberal former co-worker said on the bulletin that "God is a joke."

And Christians are said to be the hardened ones?

God is not here to make your life easy. People are becoming so obsessed with taking the easy walk through life-- take the bailouts for example. Rather than let a company fail and cause some growing pains to Americans, the government wants to avoid pain and bail them out. (Which in the end will actually cause more pain. But that is another rant, another time, another blog.)

Anyway, God does not make things easy but gives you strength to endure hardship. When you share the weight of your burden with the Lord, life does get easier.

Prov. 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.

Radical Atheism

It actually breaks my heart to read about this story of extreme radical Atheism and is even more painful to try to write about it and analyze why people think the way they do.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation decided to not only express their own religious views of Atheism but felt compelled to insult Christianity. Found via the David Boze Show blog, the Atheist cult put up a sign next to the Nativity scene at the Washington state capitol that said, "At this season of the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds."

Talk about intolerance. I heard part of an interview of a person from the FFRF on the Michael Medved show where the person said that he finds the Nativity scene just as offensive as we find the sign. He said that the scene represents negativity, condemnation, damnation and hell. His reasoning was that he finds it offensive that Jesus is our Savior and that He is the only way to Heaven. Actually, Christianity is a loving religion with a loving God. God and Jesus want to save people from hell and damnation not send them there. Besides, I'd rather be a slave to Jesus than to Government.

The person interviewed on the David Boze Show apparently said that since Hitler was a Christian, all Christians are like him and hate everyone different from them.

What? Really?
Does Spike Lee represent all black people?
Does Roseanne Barr represent all the women?
Does Jerry Seinfeld represent the Jewish?
Does Tom Hanks represent all white men?
For that matter, does Osama Bin Laden represent all Muslims?

And so on ad nauseam.

Hitler was not, indeed, a Christian but rather a Pagan. Paganism, from my understanding, is represented by those who do not necessarily believe in God, Jesus Christ or religion in general but celebrate the Santa Clause and Easter Bunny part of the religious holidays. True followers of Christ spread the Word, love and joy of God.

I am disgusted by those in our state who allow such things to be posted next to a Nativity scene. The scene is a tradition. Leave it be. Don't like it? Put a representation of your religion by it, not an insult. The insult is so childlike.

This is frightening. With a commie like Obama in office, is Christianity at risk? He certainly wont stop the radical extremists-- he is one. I'm very concerned.

If it comes down to it, I'd rather die than give up my faith in God.

Hebrews 13:5-8

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Amen.

(more) Proof of the cult

This made a small headline on msn.com:

"Obama cookie bringing in a lot of dough for cafe"

My initial thought was, "oh, they made a cookie to look like Obama, or say 'hope' or something" but sadly, no, it was just a simple cookie that the Obama family liked.

But it doesn't stop there.

DES MOINES, Iowa - Want an example of the change Barack Obama is bringing to the country?

Check out cookie sales at Baby Boomers Cafe in Des Moines.

(...)

His daughters, 10-year-old Malia and 7-year-old Sasha, would stop by with their mother, Michelle, and Maxfield said they loved the cookies. During a stop in Iowa last month, Obama's staff ordered about a dozen cookies for the family. That's when word got out about their affection for the confection.

Suddenly, sales of 400 cookies in a good week soared to more than 1,000 a week, with requests coming from as far away as Mexico. Alas, the price is going up, from 50 cents to 75 cents a cookie to make up for the time it takes to make more each day.

Don't stop reading now. It gets even better. This is where the cult shines like a beacon.

“I think everybody just ... thought, 'Oh, great cookie, great president — the world is a happy place. Barack's going to fix all the problems and if I have a bite of this cookie it's going to make me feel good,'” Maxfield said.

What exactly is the correlation between a president and a cookie? How is a cookie going to make you forget your unpaid mortgage, failing business, and repossessed car? For that matter, how is a socialist president, who wants to destroy America in the name of "fairness" (i.e. keep everybody down fairly) going to make anyone feel good? I just don't get it.

I am starting to think that Islam is not the greatest threat to our nation but rather Obamunism. These Obama supporters are nothing but sheep. Their shepherd Obama says, "eat here" and they do. New York has already renamed an elementary school after Barack Obama and one in Tacoma is already trying to follow that lead. They are obsessed with hope & change, chanting "yes we can!" to anyone who will listen. (cult alert! cult alert!)

In case you forgot, Obama only won by 6 percent. That's 58 million votes for McCain and 66 million for Obama. He only got one percent more of the votes than George W. Bush did for his second term. So.... yeah.

I think it's sweet

Found via the David Boze Show blog, this story struck more as cute than weird.

Practicing abstinence, bride and groom have never kissed

(...)

The "no-kissing" rule came up as a way to prevent things from getting out of hand. You see, Fabien and LaLuz both teach abstinence courses to Chicago Public Schools teens. And they say they practice what they preach.

To avoid temptation while dating, they made sure they were never alone with each other in a house. When they watched movies on the couch, they snuggled sitting straight up, never lying down.

"It really tested us and encouraged us to grow closer in our hearts and our minds, just expressing things verbally," Fabien said.

Despite abstaining, they have no anxieties about their upcoming Bahamas honeymoon.

Yes, they've heard "test drive the car before you buy," but LaLuz has her own analogy.

"You can't take the car out of the parking lot until you pay for it," she said.

Some people have commented that this story is weird but I think it's sweetly old-fashioned, something that is not practiced enough. Perhaps I do not have the shock-factor because I recently watched the show on TLC about the Duggar's, the family with 17 kids who's oldest recently got married and shared the same dating values. He gave a touching analogy about the difference between dating and courting and why he chooses not to kiss before marriage. He said that when you date a lot, you give pieces of your heart away to each person. Later when you find The One, you have a tattered bit of heart left give them and all you can say is, "Well, this is what I have left to give you."

One person comment on the Boze blog about TMI or too much information about this couple's first kiss. I so humbly replied saying how it's a nice change to hear about a couple who's waited till marriage rather than *yawn* another knocked-up unwed mother. Our culture has made perverted acts acceptable (a la Sex & the City) yet makes conservative acts such as this be the perverted and "weird" ones.

What has our culture become? What will become of us?

Three days so far

It's been SO nice sleeping, getting errands done, watching movies, and going shooting but mostly I'm bored out of my mind. My head was invaded yesterday with pesky little germlins which finally seized my left nostril and throat today. Today I played the waiting game, just biting my nails, hoping for my body's defenses to kick in. Maybe my antibodies will make a Trojan horse and take back my nostrils. I think tonight I shall act as a liberal, drugging myself up with NyQuil and falling asleep while hoping for the war to end (in my favor of course) but not actually doing anything productive to help. Then I'll piss and moan about how I'm losing the war.

Ha ha.

I'm excited for Thanksgiving tomorrow though. (Cranium!)

Terror in Mumbai

Terrorism is not a ghost. It is not a phantom nor is it a wild goose chase. So liberals you need to shut the hell up unless you can be productive about this matter.

Emails from the Deccan Mujahideen claim they are responsible for these coordinated attacks on hotels, restaurants, train stations, landmarks, police headquarters and other busy parts of India's financial capital, Mumbai (Bombay), according to the news story on msnbc.com. Apparently this Islamic extremist group was targeting Americans and Britons, asking to see passports. Some suspects from the group were killed, some were detained.

Interesting. So freaking interesting. Why on earth would they target the busy city of Mumbai for Americans and not LA or New York? Is it because we are armed?? It's easy to make an indirect political statement at another country but meant for the US. Russia did it when they invaded Georgia earlier this year. They wanted to start WW3 and even said so. They know we want to protect the little guy. If Russia could start a war, oil prices would go up therefore making their country richer than ours and in turn more powerful. The statement from these Deccan Mujahideen fellas seems to be the same as the al Qaeda statements-- religious intolerance and they think the UK and the US are a bunch of perverts who must be destroyed lest we poison the rest of the world with our stank of freedom and rights.

I'll be curious to see how this unfolds. The terror attacks on London done after 9/11 went almost entirely ignored or at least forgotten quickly. Armed or not, Americans are still at risk. And it will only get worse after BHO is inaugurated.

"Gird your loins" is right, Gaffing Biden. 'twill be a long 4 years.

Brett Favre invented football

Brett Favre is a talented athlete. He is enjoyable to watch. But I am annoyed because as I watch Monday night football Packers vs. Saints, all the commentators can talk about is how Aaron Rogers is like Brett Favre in some way but doesn't measure up in other ways. Why can't Rogers have his own identity? Instead, he is the-guy-who-took-over-for-Brett-Favre. Poor Aaron Rogers.

Just your average mall shooting

The people of south Seattle are unfazed by another mall shooting. Not that they happen often in the mall but I think Tukwila is pretty used to it happening in general. Yesterday about 4pm there was a (possible) gang-related shooting by a young man which critically injured a 15 year-old and killed another teenager.

The reason I say "unfazed" is because just 24 hours later, the mall was packed. Not without extra patrol of course. This is why they built the Southcenter mall-- to keep us lowly south-enders out of the Bellevue mall, lest we muss up their pretty city.

Oh yeah? Well once I spit in Bellevue. Take that!

Where am I?

Just when I start doubting people...

...someone goes and gives me their sighting scope for FREE! Wow! Thank you kind stranger!

Not that I base my opinion of people on how giving they are but lately there has been a lot of issues with crime and the sagging economy which tend to make people a little more grumpy than usual. Worse, the economy troubles are right before Christmas which probably magnifies just how broke and in trouble financially people really are. So when a stranger gives me something "just because" in the middle of such times, it makes me a little more appreciative.

And for those who are worried about this being a shady kind of giving, don't worry; the person who gave it to me is a regular at the gun range who I've seen from time to time.

I say Christmas and Holy Day

I got to thinking about the PC holiday greetings we are supposed to say but get this-- Holiday = Holy Day. Christmas is a Holy Day. So technically wishing someone a Happy Holiday is as good as saying Happy Christmas.

So to all you libtards, I tell you Happy Holy Day and Merry Christmas.

That's right. Jesus Christ loves you.

Can you handle it?

Grumble, Groan & Whine

I just... I'm so... ugh...

Wah.

I'll get over it.

More importantly, I have the week off so that is good news. I shall sleep. Then shoot. And life shall continue as planned.

Front page news! Huge story! Obama gives up BlackBerry!

Yes you read correctly. Obama must give up his BlackBerry which is such a huge, must-report piece of information that it made the front page of the Seattle Times. This is ground-breaking, earth-shattering news! Why did they not tell us sooner??

Obama used e-mail to stay in touch with friends from the lonely confines of the road, often sending messages such as "Sox!" when the Chicago White Sox won a game.

(...)

Should Obama want to break ground and become the first president to fire off e-mails from the West Wing and wherever he travels, he could turn to Al Gore as a model. In the later years of his vice presidency, Democrats said, Gore used a government e-mail address and a campaign address in his race against Bush

Oh for crying out loud! Really? That was front page worthy? I don't understand it completely why such a silly and obvious thing would be such a big deal. Of course he will have to give up most things of his former life-- he is the POTUS! His life will never be the same so he will not be allowed to have such normal and peasantly things. This article kinda makes me want to vomit a little bit.

But it gets worse. Arley mentioned how he is doing video addresses a la 1984 and it appears to be true.

On Saturday, as Obama broadcast the weekly Democratic radio address, it came with a twist. For the first time, it was also videotaped and archived on YouTube.

I haven't read it yet but the blurb via wikipedia says it's a book about a repressive totalitarian political regime, propaganda, surveillance, and society's increased encroachment on the rights of the individual.

Hmm...

Guns are racist

Found via massbackwards, the libtards have yet another reason so call us racists. If you ask me, that word is getting thrown around all too much these days and might be losing meaning.

Anyway, according to a dimwitted, feel-good, so-called expert, if you have bought guns since the election, you are a racist.

"Why are white people buying assault weapons?" said Ben Agger, a sociology professor at the University of Texas at Arlington who wrote a book about the Virginia Tech slayings. "I almost hate to say it, but there is a deep-seated fear of the armed black man, because Obama now commands the military and other instruments of the justice system. They are afraid Obama will exact retribution for the very deep-seated legacy of slavery."

Oh for the love of Pete! If Obama were white with the same exact policies, said the same exact things on the campaign trail and had the same exact record, everyone would still buy lots of guns 'n ammo. If John McCain had the same policies, stances and record that he has now but was middle-eastern, black, Asian, Hispanic, etc., I would have still voted for him. When are the liberal idiots going to get that it has nothing to do with race? When? They are the ones who keep bring up race! Maybe they are truly the ones who are racist but express it by blaming the Republicans because they don't want to be called on it. After all, it was democrats who wanted to keep their slaves and it was democrats who instilled the Jim Crow Laws of "separate but equal." It's democrats who don't believe in God and therefor do not believe in God's will for Christians to love everybody no matter their age, gender, sexual orientation, race, or any other thing about how God made them.

How does that make you feel?

I took the kid to Barnes & Noble today, as I do most days. Each day has a whole new weird thing happens as we frequent the one in the U-Village. The other day I heard a mother call after her son, Rufus (poor kid!). Once I saw a three or four year old being breast fed in the kids area/train table area. Earlier this week I saw my old 8th grade history/writing teacher and for the first time, her one-year old son. Today was a little different. Story is with Grandma and boy about age 4.

(as kid and I enter the train table area, she crawls to the table and pulls up to a stand)
Boy: Look it's a baby! I have a baby at home.
Gma: Yes you do have a baby brother at home. This baby is about the same age.
Boy: The baby doesn't walk. My baby doesn't walk either.
(kid throws a train on the floor)
Boy: That baby threw the train on the floor. My baby does that too.
Gma: Yes, your brother throws stuff on the floor too. (pause) How does that make you feel?
Boy: Well, he always throws stuff on the floor. My trains and food.
Gma: Yes, but how does that make you feel? How do you feel when he throws things on the floor?
Boy: (pause) My baby throws things on the floor. That baby threw the train on the floor. My baby is little too. (...)
Gma: How does that make you feel?

And so on...

What the heck is going on? Why is it so interesting how he feels about something so weird? The only possible theory I, as an unknown outsider, could make is that maybe the kid is autistic and Grandma is trying to do emotion differentiation but if that would be true, Grandma is going about it the wrong way. You identify the feeling for them in the moment and talk about it. Example, when brother is throwing his trains and boy gets mad, you say, "you're angry that brother threw your trains" or something like that. Kids don't always remember how they felt hours or days ago, especially autistic or other kids with special needs.

So this proves how sissified Seattle is. Stop over-thinking this whole parenting thing. Relax. Take a chill pill. Kids will learn at their own pace. And stop chucking this "feelings" garbage down their throats and let them learn through experience and play. My boss thinks his one-year old will get "ideas" and end up as a pregnant teen if she plays with the doll and doll stroller she got for her birthday.

Really??

Maybe fake but still true

The Lange's emailed this letter out to everyone and it is said that it may be a letter from President Bush hater David Letterman. Call me a skeptic but I don't think it's an actual letter from David Letterman however it makes a really good point.

As most of you know I am not a President Bush fan, nor have I ever been, but this is not about Bush, it is about us, as Americans, and it seems to hit the mark.

The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some Poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right?

The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President. In essence 2/3 of the citizenry just ain't happy and want a change. So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, 'What are we so unhappy about?'

A. Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week?

B. Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?

C. Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?

D. Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?

E. Maybe it is the ability to drive our cars and trucks from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state.

F. Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?

G. I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough either.

H. Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.

I. Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home.

J. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.

K. Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.

L. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90% of teenagers own cell phones and computers.

M. How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?

Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks unhappy.

Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S., yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have, and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.

I know, I know. What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The president who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same president who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11? The president that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession? Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks? The commander in chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me?

Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show? Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad? Think about it......are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the 'Media' told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day.

Make no mistake about it. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country. They didn't have to go. They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ''general'' discharge, an 'other than honorable'' discharge or, worst case scenario, a ''dishonorable' discharge after a few days in the brig.

So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans?

Say what you want, but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds it leads and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner? The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations. They offer what sells, and when criticized, try to defend their actions by 'justifying' them in one way or another. Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about how he didn't kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it this way......Insane!

Turn off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There is exponentially more good than bad. We are among the most blessed people on Earth and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative.' 'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, 'Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'

-David Letterman

This particular letter wasn't my wake up call but I did receive one about a month or two ago. I realized that I too have succumbed to the entitlement mindset. The government doesn't owe me anything. I don't always deserve a raise at work. I can't stop the rain. And so on. I believe that I still have an Eeyore view of the world but I am working hard on changing my attitude. When I start groaning to myself about having to go to work, I stop mid-groan and thank the Lord that I have a job. When I have a want, I thank the Lord for what I already have. It would be nice to have lots of things but I am truly grateful for being free. I know I have a long way to go in fixing my attitude but I am grateful to have the opportunity and insight to be able to do so.

I once read in an autobiography of Michelle Akers, women's soccer player with CFIDS, a little life lesson: Sometimes God taps you on the shoulder to get your attention but I needed a hammer to the head.

King County Young Republicans

I joined the KCYR group about a month ago, mostly going to social events. I think the actual productive meetings start up again in January in hopes of moving our party forward and getting rid of the RINOs. (Republican In Name Only) The main (left) stream media is obsessing about how Republicans have lost their way and subtly suggest that the right needs to be more liberal. Some of the RINOs are definitely up for that but us few conservative-republicans are concerned about losing our core values of the right.

On election night, I went out afterwards to a Denny's with 5 other YRs. Two of them got into a heated debate with the other three as Moderate-Republicans vs. Conservative-Republicans discussing God and whether He created the earth and allowed evolution or if things have always been as they are. The CR brought up great points about the difference of adaptation vs. evolution which make a lot of sense. I mentioned how the measure of time was established by man so who knows how old the earth really is since 6000 years to God may be different to 6000 years to man. The MR couldn't differentiate adaptation and evolution and really couldn't express whether they had faith in God or not.

After one CR girl left to use the restroom, I spoke with the remaining two MR girls. I said that the difference is that she is conservative and they are moderate but we are still on the same side and must stop acting like name-calling, whiny Liberals. I was offended when one girl said that yes, she is moderate and when people ask her what party she affiliates herself with, she would reply with "I'm an open-minded Republican." Talk about slap in the face! I said conservatives are more open-minded than anybody because we live by God's law that we must love and accept everyone even if we don't love and accept what they do. but before I was too drawn into the conversation, I receded. It's no use. This girl, I found out later, is a former Democrat who is slowly being brought to the right by her Moderate boyfriend.

Our party is doomed.

However, I strongly believe that sometimes it takes such a crisis to reevaluate what and who we are and it will ultimately make us stronger. I pray that we do not succumb to the liberal disease but I just don't know anymore.

On the upside, I have met some pretty incredible true Republicans and I am excited for the next events. This weekend is the Woodinville Wine tour, next week is shooting with the gals for ladies night at Wade's, plus a lot more to come. Just as I was losing faith, I found this wonderful group.

Thank you, God.

Now if only I can find a good church...

Onion Blues

Tears and all, I get the blues when chopping onions. It never fails. Every time I chop white onions I cry and after a few episodes I finally got smart-- ski goggles. Douglas makes fun of me as he has seen me in my pathetic attempt to escape the onion fumes but it works!

Yeah, and that's my story.

Take that.

I made it to the news!

I was a hit at the Republican gathering on election night for the shirt I wore. The front said, "McCain, Rossi, Reichert 2008" with check marks next to each name. The back said 'God Guns Guts." I was interviewed, videoed, and photographed by many people and news people but unfortunately I was only able to get one business card for one story. Here it is. It's actually not a news story but just a picture and a blurb. Oh well, I'm an attention whore and will take what I can get.

The empty life of an Obama supporter

This video is more true than it seems. The celebration was big last night but the mood was very somber today. I think Libtards wanted Obama to lose so they have something to bitch about.

Enjoy the video.

Obama Win Causes Obsessive Supporters To Realize How Empty Their Lives Are

My letter to America

Dear America,

I apologize sincerely for not writing sooner and I regret the circumstances in which I do so now. I know your family has fallen victim to unfortunate circumstances before but this one might be the most painful for you and all your relatives. Your fall to communism will be a resounding thud heard by all nations and felt by your family with the pain of a thousand knives in the gut. I know you may never fully recover but your bloodlines are strong. My family will pray for yours.

Rumor has it that the elderly in your family have been ill for some time and have taken a turn for the worst. Please send my best wishes for a full recovery to Democracy and Capitalism. Scientists have not yet found a cure for the Liberalism Disease that infects them but they are working night and day on it. The Conservative family has been dedicated in the search for the cure, particularly Mr. Conservative who has been working night and day both with people and prayer. He sends his love to your family. Sadly, Dr. Republican in the Washington Research Center says this new strain of Liberalism is stronger than the strains discovered in the 70s, originating somewhere in California and is proving to be much stronger, more violent, more aggressive and even deadly in some cases. Democracy and Capitalism will stay in my prayers in hopes that God will have mercy on them and help them heal.

How big your children must be! Life and Liberty have made a wonderful reputation for themselves. I was so proud of your family when reading about them in my high school history books. Life has done amazing things along with her friend Opportunity—what a dear one she is. There are whole sections in the books describing their amazing work with your family including the free market, inventions, space travel, art, music, etc. I was most happy to read of her accomplishment of introducing our founding fathers to the well respected family of Mr. and Mrs. Pursuit-of-Happiness. However, it deeply saddens me to hear about Life’s work being destroyed. I wish to understand better why the Libtards are set on aborting her project with infants and children. Please pass along my blessings to Life. I pray she gets stronger and receives the respect she deserves.

Liberty is my hero—please tell him that next time you see him! Perhaps Liberty has been mentioned most of all in the books with his noble deeds of freeing your family of the tyrannical rule of England, the blacks from slavery, women from oppression, and barriers of those who are different physically and mentally. Liberty has allowed us the ability to enjoy the fruits of our labor and shown us the wonders of the constitution. America, I was heartbroken to hear your son has a warrant for his arrest. I heard the Independence family has been interrogated for aiding his escape but I won’t ask for details lest your return letter is intercepted by the communist army. In speaking with the Conservative and Republican families, we’ve agreed to hold off our own fight to save your son to see if your family can overturn the warrant. But at any moment your family needs us, our families will be ready to fight for you.

America, I want you to know that even thought the Leftist-Extremist mafia family has been harassing your family, hurting your pets and property, and stealing your identity and ruining your credit, We The People are here for you through the times of turbulence as well as the times of smooth sailing. God blessed your children and elderly 250 years ago and He will protect them now; this is a time for learning and there is no one better to teach than the strong ones.

Again I must beg for your forgiveness for the lack of respect I have shown your family in not writing sooner. I greatly apologize for my actions portraying a disgraceful citizen and hope to redeem myself in helping your family out in the future. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your fall, not as pity, but as my most profound admiration for your ability to handle such anguish in a respectful and tactful way; I am unsure if I could be as resilient as you.

Stay strong America, your freedom shall return; the brave are ready. May God bless you a thousand times over.

Most sincerely with respect,

Tara Babcock

Citizen.

Pre-Election

Tomorrow is the big day. Tomorrow will decided whether America will stay free for at least 4 more years under McCain or if we will succumb to socialism under the iron-fist rule of Obama.

I predict a Nazi like rule under Obama but hope for the rule of Freedom under McCain.

Dear Lord, save us all.

Obama's price signals

Found via massbackwards

More of Obama's "change." I really don't understand why the leftist extremists think that electing a black person for president is better than electing a qualified person for president. No I am not being racists because Tom Hanks made a video endorsement of Obama and even said he wants a black man for president to free his white guilt. If I am being racists for what I said, so is he.

Obama would probably be more successful as a leader in another country, a communist one or a poor one. Maybe he should lead his home-country Kenya. But he needs to leave America the hell alone.

Pass this around.

Random Analysis

John McCain, along with other people who have a head on their shoulders, know that Obama's policies are juxtaposed with Socialism/Marxism. Obama has since gone on the record saying that "spread the wealth" is not redistribution of wealth but rather like sharing your toys in kindergarten. (so many comments to be made at this one but that is another post)

Well Mr. Obama, I tell you this: You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig.

This is how you "spread the wealth"

Not my story but it's funny...

"Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on an "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I’ve decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the home less guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient needed money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application. "

I would rather earn my keep and keep what I earn.

Adventure in Seattle

I got a call for a last minute house-sitting gig in Seattle so that's what I'm doing right now. Parked next to me are two funny looking chihuahuas and a cat. It works out well because it's about ten minutes from work and two blocks away from Northgate Mall. I was actually going to walk to the mall to get some dinner but it was getting kinda late so I drove. Eh, maybe tomorrow. It'll be wonderful to commute 10 minutes to work--not an hour and ten minutes. Especially since I have, for the second time this month, another bad-ass sinus cold so the extra sleep will help me feel better.

Normally I might feel a little unsafe house-sitting but the pups are yapping at every sound and I have Kimber by my side. Between the two, I'll be just fine.

My feelings about Seattle have mellowed significantly in the past few days partially due to knowing there are other Conservatives hidden in the area and also knowing that things will calm down after the election. If things do calm down, I might be more open to moving nearby and going to the CC. Maybe my cool cousin will room with me so I'm not stuck with an anti-gun hippie. :)

And that's that.

Just took some Nyquil for my sniffles so I'm off to bed.

No "Gaffing" Matter

Joe Biden, Gaffe Machine, strikes again. This is more disturbing than all of his other gaffes which include asking a paraplegic state senator to stand up, making a speech about how coal mining is bad and will kill you at the same time Obama is giving a speech about being pro-coal for an energy resource, introducing Barack Obama as "Barack America," and his funny 3 letter word-- JOBS, J-O-B-S. But this one is worse.

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Then there was the "oh crap" moment of realization

In similar remarks at another fund-raising event Sunday night, Biden quickly added that those who test Obama will quickly find out he has "a spine of steel."

"So what?" He's a gaffe machine. He's right, most presidents have faced tests. Bush was face with 9/11 after inauguration the previous January. But the problem I have with Biden's gaffe is that is almost sounds like a threat or a dare. Perhaps a set-up. It's as if he knows BO will fail and Biden wants to make sure the Halo Effect is intact before hand so people don't hate him like they do with Bush.

The BO campaign is getting creepier by the day but it seems to be no big deal to the left. Colon Powell's endorsement would normally be ok but the reasons he gave are outrageous like how BO is "ready for the job, has experience, etc." which is just a flat out lie. But that's another story.

If there were a better country to flee to, I just might go. But there is not one so I'll have to stay and fight.

And the "race" continues

This video--not really a video, just a sound bite-- is interesting. I'm not so ignorant to think that this is very accurate and it could have the same outcome if it had been done for the McCain side as well. If you ask the right three people anything, you will get the answer you are looking for. However, put aside the fact that it's about Obama, it's very interesting how people believe wholeheartedly in anything that they know very little about.

Basically, we're screwed.

Marxist Pie

Interesting analogy Michelle Obama makes about money. Apparently it's a new flavor of pie with the choice of Socialist Pie or Marxist Pie. Don't forget the whipped commie on top.

Kinda long but watch at least the first minute or so to hear Michelle's quote.

Did you catch that? "Someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so someone else can have more." Outrageous. No, thanks I like my pie. I'll share with my family, a little with my friends but not for my neighbors or other people who don't want to work for their own damn pie.

Mmm, pie...

Gaffe Machine Strikes Again! With no media coverage...

Mark Levin played this on his show so many times and laughed every time. He was in the middle of a rant and stopped just so he could listen to this before continuing on.

Biden is a gaffe machine but gets limited media credit. If this were McCain or Palin, they be all over it. Notice the hard laugh from the audience member-- yeah they caught onto it. Also, did he say that the number one job facing the middle class is jobs? Wait...

So whenever you need a quick laugh, just watch this video.

Remember the pathetic and funny hope ad that moveon.org had a while back? "This is your brain, this is your brain on hope." Well this new one is still pathetic and still funny but not as bad as the hope one.

And just because it's so funny, I'll post the hope one again for laughs.

The sad thing is some people really buy into this crap. Maybe MoveOn should come up with an original ad-- not using drugs and valtrex commercials to coincide with hopenchange.

Too much B.O.

My blog has turned into too much talk about B.O. and politics so I need to change the subject.

I joined a pro-2A group and the first meeting (that I will attend) is the 25th. In the mean time I have been reading and blogging on the Right To Keep and Bear Arms website (RTKBA). It's been neat talking to others about the the passion and practicality of being wholeheartedly for the 2nd Amendment. Most of the people on the site are from other states so it's very interesting to learn how their law-makers have interpreted their right to own guns. They also have tons of stories on how guns have saved people from becoming victims.

This evening I decided that rather than listen to the politicians blow hot air around, I'd go shooting at Wade's. It was pretty empty which was fine with me. It was nice because usually when I go to the outdoor range to shoot my AR I have to shoot pretty slow. (they don't allow you to multiple load) Tonight with my Kimber and XD, I went a little faster than I normally would--but being safe about it of course. It was exhilarating. I probably put about 100 rounds through my XD and about 50 through my Kimber. I'm still a lousy shot but for the most part I managed to at least hit the paper. :)

Obama admits to Socialism... kind of

Here's the clip of Obama telling a plumber he's going to take his money and "spread" it around.

PLUMBER: “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more. Isn’t it?”

OBAMA: “It’s not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

This is nothing short of socialism. Sure it can be perceived as not punishing him for success but I'll tell you what, it is rewarding others for being lazy, having less education, and little or no ambition. Obama is all about being faaaaaiir and seeeeensitive.

I have two views on this: One is that he is pandering and will not really do all the socialist things he claims he will do as president. He often says one thing to one group and another to another group. I read a quote somewhere saying if you ask what Obama's views are in/on [insert subject here], the answer is "depends on who he is talking to." Right now he has so many people in his pocket who'd rather take a bullet for him than speak the truth but he is aiming for a Ron Reagan landslide win and in order to do so, he needs to pander to the group who doesn't pay taxes and probably wouldn't have voted at all if not for his empty promises.

My second view on this video is that, as much as I hate to admit it, this video might be altered a little bit to show the worst of the conversation. It absolutely does not excuse what he said but it is cut up a little bit and I fear the Obama News Networks might interpret it in this way. The first part where he says, "I'm not punishing you..." is damning evidence of his socialism and I will in no way stick up for that. But I wonder if the "spread the wealth around" is indeed linked to that first part. I hope it is but be prepared for the Left wing media to counter attack this video.

His undeniable ties to socialism, anti-American ideology, terrorists, and financial thugs have been covered up in such a way I have never seen or read about. And yet with all this damning evidence that he intends to destroy our nation, the media is obsessed that Republicans might be racist. And for the record, historically the Democrats have been racist-- KKK, Jim Crow laws, slavery, etc. The only person in the Senate who is a former member of a white supremacy group is Democrat Robert Byrd who is still in office. Conservatives are historically God-fearing people who's churches often send missionaries to more countries to help build homes while teaching them about Jesus. God tells us to love everyone and by-golly, we love everyone! We may not always like everyone but we love them and accept everyone for who they are and how God made them. I am not saying they are perfect, but in no way are they worse than the Democrats.

Why does it seem that after all these huge stories of Obama's dirty ties and work complete with undeniable facts to back them up, McCain is always on the defense when it should be reversed? We are becoming everything our founding fathers feared, everything the fought for, everything they didn't want to be.
