What a cheap shot

Apparently sports news writers are political experts (along with celebrities). I was hoping to be entertained by the article about how Brett Favre might regret joining the New York Jets only to find a low blow insult about Sarah Palin in the middle of the article. In paragraph seven you'll see this:

"The Jets represent Favre's Sarah Palin, a choice out of nowhere, and the maverick might've out-mavericked himself with this one."

Why was that a necessary detail? I don't fully understand anymore why the libs say that the media has a Conservative bias and call for the Fairness Doctrine. It seems to me that we are outnumbered. What a cheap shot.
